Bananas are a rich source of everything good: of carbs, fibres, vitamins, minerals (especially of potassium) and antioxidants. But this fruit, like every other gift of nature good for our insides, is also good for our outsides. Apply banana to become beautiful.
♦ Use bananas as a scrub. For your face and body. Make a banana-sugar scrub yourself. Mash three ripe bananas, add three tablespoons of sugar together and apply the mixture to your face and body. Leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse well. Best before bath.
♦ For hydration: Mash a banana, add one tablespoon dahi, or honey, and leave on your face for 20 minutes. Rinse well with cold water. Feel the softness of your skin. This is also an excellent hair pack for dry hair.
♦ For excessively oily skin: Mash a banana, add one tablespoon dry oatmeal and one tablespoon lemon juice. Rinse after 20 minutes.
♦ For smooth, shiny hair: Mash a banana, add one tablespoon olive oil or almond oil and one egg. Beat together well. Best if you use a blender. Apply the mix to your hair and wash with a shampoo after half an hour.
♦ Banana masks are excellent for damaged hair.
